Also this Sunday - Mission of the Month noisy offering for the Schools of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, the only Arabic-speaking Lutheran denomination in the world and the only indigenous Lutheran church in the Middle East. Our gifts will continue to make education an opportunity for many children, for example: $20 covers the tuition of one child for one week; $70 continues support for one month and $420 supports that child for six months. Please pull out any loose change and deposit it in the buckets during the offering.

A Little Humor…When my grandson Billy and I entered our vacation cabin, we kept the lights off until we were inside to keep from attracting pesky insects. Still, a few fireflies followed us in. Noticing them before I did, Billy whispered, "It's no use, Grandpa. The mosquitoes are coming after us with flashlights."
