A Little Humor

While touring Israel, two people thought they'd rent a boat and take it across the Sea of Galilee.

"That'll be a hundred dollars," said the man at the boat rental.

"A hundred dollars? That's an outrageous amount!" One of the tourists exclaimed.

"Ah, but this is the lake Jesus walked on," the merchant pointed out.

To which the irritated tourist replied, "For a hundred dollars a boat, I can see why!"

A quick update on Kathleen Schwertlich from Pastor Bill:

She came through the surgery just fine. She did not have to the complete hip joint prosthesis reconstruction. The doctor replaced the artificial hip socket. Kathleen is at Hermann Memorial City Hospital, room 617.

"Kathleen and I are so very grateful to all of you who have been kindly thinking of us and praying for us as she goes through this surgery and healing process. Thanks especially to those who have come in person to visit, for phone calls, emails and other expressions of good care and concern. Most of all, thanks for your prayers and other expressions of compassion and love as we take things "one day at a time", now more than ever, the best and most effective way of handling all that comes to us without being dragged down in fear."

A Little Humor…

Jesus took his disciples up the mountain and gathered them around Him and taught them saying:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."
"Blessed are the meek,
Blessed are they that mourn,
Blessed are the merciful,
Blessed are they that thirst after righteousness.
Blessed are you when persecuted, Blessed are you when you suffer, be glad and rejoice for your reward is great in Heaven."

Then Simon Peter said, "Are we supposed to know all this?"
And Andrew said, "So we have to write all this down?"
And James said, "Will we have a test on this?"
And Phillip said, "I don't have any paper."
And Judas said, " How much credit does this give me?"
And Matthew said, "May I go to the bathroom?"
And Bathelomew said, "Do we have to turn this in?"
And Simon said, "May I borrow a pencil?"
And Judas Iscariot said, "What does this have to do with real life?"
And James the Lesser said, "Now what was that again?"

A Pharisee, who was present, asked to see Jesus' lesson plan and inquired of Jesus, "Where are your anticipatory set and objectives in the cognitive domain?"

AND JESUS WEPT!!!!

A Little Humor...

Just because I'm having one of those frustrating computer days:

In Computer Heaven:

The management is from Intel,
The design and construction is done by Apple,
The marketing is done by Microsoft,
IBM provides the support,
Gateway determines the pricing.

In Computer Hell:
The management is from Apple,
Microsoft does design and construction,
IBM handles the marketing,
The support is from Gateway,
Intel sets the price.

A Little Humor

So a five dollar bill walks into a bar and the bartender says, "Hey. This is a singles bar."

A horse walks into a bar and the bartender says, "Why the long face?"

So this anteater walks into a bar and says, I'd like a drink.

"Okay. How about a beer?" says the bartender.

"Noooooooooo,"

"Then how about a gin and tonic?"

"Noooooooooo."

"A martini?"

"Noooooooooo. "

"Hey, listen buddy, if you don't mind me asking, why the long no's?"
_________________________________________________________________
Two atoms are drinking at the bar. Suddenly one says to the other, "I've just lost one of my electrons! And the other says, "Are you positive?"
_________________________________________________________________
How do you drive an engineer completely insane?

Tie him to a chair, stand in front of him, and fold up a road map the wrong way.
_________________________________________________________________
A person walking on a country lane sees a farmer standing in the middle of his farm, doing nothing in particular. The person calls out, "What are you doing in there?"

The farmer replies, "I'm trying to get a Nobel Prize!"

The person asks, "How can you get a Nobel Prize, doing nothing like that?"

And the farmer answers, "I hear they give out Nobel Prizes to people who are out standing in their field."
