It’s time to come back to Hosanna. Vacation is over. There’s plenty going on and your smiling faces are missed.

Worship service times for this Sunday (last time): 8:15 and 10:30 AM, with Adult Education @ 9:30 AM. Again, thanks to all those who provide treats between services.

Next Sunday, September 9, is a big day with lot’s going on!

Resume regular schedule: Worship @ 8, 9:30 and 11 AM, with Adult Education and Sunday school @ 9:30 AM.

It’s also Sunday School Rally Day @ 9:30 am. Kids, come meet your teachers!

It’s also Camper Sunday. Wear your Lutherhill t-shirt and bring your photos!

CREW starts up again with a welcome breakfast @ 9:30 AM.

CREW also meets that night from 6-8 PM.

Sunday Adult Education: A Time to learn…
Adult Education @ 9:30 AM features Luther: Gospel, Law and Reformation by professor Phillip Cary. This 24-week course will be led by Pastor Paul Frerking starting September 9. The course is a balanced, critical look at Martin Luther. Each one hour session is designed as a 30-minute lecture on DVD, followed by a 30 minute group discussion

Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Volunteers Needed
Please see the green insert to help host our IHN guests here at Hosanna. We are their home for one week, so let's give them a warm Hosanna welcome. Evening and overnight hosts are still needed, also move in and out help and someone to provide lunch ingredients.

Book Discussion

The Hosanna Book Discussion is open to everyone who enjoys reading and discussing what they have read. The next meeting is this coming Saturday, September 8 @ 6 PM. The book is When the Lion Roars, by DiAnn Mills, and Ms. Mills will be present to discuss her book(s) and sign autographs.
The next book discussion will be Saturday, October 13.

Interested in a week-night study group?
Every Monday night, the group meets at the home of Dale and Georgia Bargmann, in Ella Crossing (just south of Hosanna): 16523 Brightling Lane. Send Dale Bargmann an email if you would like to come. Currently, we are discussing the life of Martin Luther. No meeting on Labor Day; meet again on the 10th.

Attention all men, women and high school golfers.
Time to sign-up for the Hosanna Fall Golf Classic, Saturday
October 13. It is an 8 AM shotgun start at the Texas National Golf Course near Willis, TX. Cost per player is $43 which includes free range balls, green fees, golf cart and a hamburger buffet lunch. Sign-up in the north narthex. Make checks payable to: Men of Hosanna or give cash to Bob McConnell. Deadline to reserve a spot is Sunday, October 7.
