Covenant Cards
Fifty-five covenant cards were turned in to the Stewardship Team during the January "Ask, Thank, and Tell" emphasis. These cards indicated that $160,938 would be given toward doing God’s work at Hosanna in 2007. What a blessing to the ministry we do together! With the priority spending system that we are using now, please remember that the timing of your giving is also important.
Our Financial Secretary reports that we have received only $10,202 of the $22,214 pledged to date. This means that some of the items we ranked "High" on our priority list cannot be paid at this time. As an example, see Amber’s excellent article about High Priority items for the Discipleship Team in the March Hotline.
Keeping current on your pledges will go a long way towards helping us accomplish our ministry goals. All of your gifts make a difference!

A little humor
Good Question
"Teacher," Tommy asked in Sunday School, "I don't understand. You're always saying that 'the children of Israel did this' and 'the children of Israel did that.' Didn't the grownups ever do anything?"
Student Bloopers
The Bible is full of interesting caricatures. In the first book of the Bible, Guinesses, Adam and Eve were created from an apple tree. One of their children, Cain, once asked, "Am I my brother's son?"
God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac on Mount Montezuma.
Jacob, son of Isaac, stole his brother's birthmark.
Jacob was a patriarch who brought up his twelve sons to be patriarchs, but they did not take to it. One of Jacob's sons gave refuse to the Israelites.
Pharaoh forced the Hebrew slaves to make bread without straw. Moses led them to the Red Sea, where they made unleavened bread which is bread made without any ingredients.
Afterward, Moses went up on Mount Cyanide to get the Ten Commandments.
David was a Hebrew king skilled at playing the liar. Solomon, one of David's sons, had 500 wives and 500 porcupines.
